Counseling for Parents Facing Estrangement from Adult Children

Coaching and relationship counseling to support your walk through this life transition with grace

A Life Transition You Never Expected.

Chances are, you are here because you are a parent who is estranged from one or more of your adult children. The relationship may be distant, strained, or completely cut off. You may not hear from them, or contact is limited and painful. This is not what you hoped for, and the silence or conflict can leave you feeling confused, rejected, worried, or deeply grieved.

Parents like you are searching for answers.

You may be questioning what went wrong, replaying past conversations, or wondering whether (and how) the relationship can ever be repaired. You might feel torn between respecting their boundaries and the desire to stay connected. You may also be carrying guilt, anger, or a profound sense of loss over the hopes and dreams you once held for your family.

As a counselor, parent, and educator, I want to help you find clarity, strength, and hope even when the relationship looks very different from what you expected. I help parents feel supported as they navigate estrangement—processing the pain, clarifying their own values and boundaries, and deciding what steps (if any) feel right for them. The goal is not to force reconnection, but to help you move forward with greater peace, self-respect, and emotional steadiness, whatever the future holds.
